Dakota Johnson crushes Chris Mratin breakup rumors: ‘Happily Together.’
Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are “happily together” despite recent breakup rumors. On Friday, August 16, a representative for the 34-year-old actress confirmed to the New York Post that the “reports are not true.” Earlier in the day, the Daily Mail had claimed that Dakota and the 47-year-old Coldplay frontman had ended their engagement and split after seven years of dating.
The Daily Mail reported, “Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work. They’ll always have love for each other, but they’ve both come to the conclusion that the relationship cannot be sustained long-term.”
The source emphasized that Chris and Dakota are “both busy people” with “personal priorities, passions, and work commitments,” adding that their lives “don’t naturally intertwine with each other.”

“They wanted it to work, but it just hasn’t, and they’ve now accepted it’s best to move on,” the insider concluded.
The couple, who began dating in 2017, have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye. However, Dakota has been seen supporting Chris at his concerts over the years.
Five months ago, the Fifty Shades of Grey star made a rare comment about being a stepmom to Chris’ children, Apple and Moses, whom he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
“I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart,” Dakota told Bustle in an interview published on March 5. She also referred to Moses as her “stepson.”
Dakota also expressed her admiration for Chris as a musician, saying, “I love watching him.”
“I could watch him every day,” she added. “I don’t know how to explain it. It feels like I’m watching my favorite person do what they love most.”
That same month, rumors surfaced about Chris and Dakota’s long-term engagement. While neither has publicly addressed the rumors, multiple outlets have reported that they’ve been engaged for some time.
