Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran Wax Figures Ignite Uproar Among Fans
Fans have been less than impressed with the newly unveiled wax figures of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran at the Panoptikum Museum in Germany.
Taylor, the 34-year-old pop sensation, is captured wearing a blue shimmery romper, striking her signature heart-shaped hand pose. Beside her stands Ed Sheeran, 33, with a guitar slung over his shoulder, a small smirk on his face, and his trademark ginger shaggy hair cascading across his forehead, as seen in photos shared by E! News.
The figures were revealed on Tuesday, August 13—Taylor’s famously lucky number—and Swifties and Sheerios wasted no time voicing their disappointment online. One user on X quipped, “When your mom says you have Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift at home.” Another commented, “They look so off I’m crying,” while someone else simply said, “These are pretty scary, not gonna lie.”

Despite the criticism, some fans took a more positive approach, offering support to the creators: “I bet the figures are super realistic and a must-see for any Swifties or Sheerios visiting the museum. I’d love to see how realistic they turned out,” one person remarked.
Another fan chimed in with praise, saying, “Honestly, really good renditions! Taylor’s looks great!”
Dr. Susanne Faerber, Managing Director of Panoptikum, expressed her excitement, stating, “With the wax figure of Taylor Swift, we are welcoming an absolute superstar to the Panoptikum. August 13 is truly a lucky day for our wax museum—especially since the number 13 holds significant meaning for Taylor Swift and her countless Swifties. We are thrilled to offer fans a special experience with their star.”
Sculptor Lisa Büscher, who created Ed Sheeran’s wax figure—her first-ever wax project—shared that capturing his tattoos was the most “complicated and time-consuming” part of the process, which began in 2022. The challenge of replicating over 60 of his tattoos was immense.
Dr. Faerber expressed her satisfaction with Ed’s figure, noting, “I find the facial expressions and the pose of the figure particularly successful.” The museum now features over 120 influential figures from around the world, with Taylor and Ed among them.
